Mary E. Garner, 83, Dies at Home Near Shannondale Mrs. Mary Eveline Garner, 83, died suddenly at 11 a. m. Friday at her home two miles southeast of Shannondale. The daughter of James A. and Susan Elizabeth Tingle Higgs, she was born near Shannondale on Aug. 24, 1868. She married William V. Garner on Oct. 19, 1891, in Boone county. Surviving are a son, Paul Garner, of Indianapolis; one brother, Dr. W. W. Higgs, of Park Rapids, Minn.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. She was preceeded(sic) in death by a son, Jesse Garner; a brother, Elisha Higgs and a sister, Nancy Higgs. Friends may call at the Hunt and Son funeral home. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m. at the Shannondale Presbyterian church with Rev. C. L. Airhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannondale cemetery.
